  9. David McLay Kidd- As the son of a golf course superintendent born and raised in Scotland, Kidd grew up immersed in the game of golf at some of the oldest and finest facilities in the world. Kidd’s breakthrough came with the launch of Bandon Dunes in 1999. His mission for Gamble Sands was to build a golf course that was just as playable as Bandon Dunes. Kidd’s success at Bandon led to several acclaimed projects such as Nanea Golf Club in 2003; TPC of San Francisco Bay at Stonebrae in 2007 and Tetherow Golf Course in 2008.

Our family-  The Gebbers family has been growing some of the finest apples and cherries on the property where Gamble Sands sits for more than a century.  In fact, they own and operate one of the largest contiguous orchards in the region on the southern edge of the famous Okanogan Valley, where the weather is ideal with 300 days of sunshine each year and little rain.
